QCF002003 Level 2 (CS30) - Chainsaw Maintenance & Cross Cutting
Course Description:
This is a 2 day course that covers the maintenance of chainsaws and the crosscutting of timber under 15 inches in diameter. This course prepares candidates for an assessment that covers the NPTC units CS30.1 and CS30.2
Suitable for:
This course is for novice operators with little to no experience with a chainsaw. It is aimed at operators that are required to maintain chainsaws and crosscut timber only.
Duration:
This course will take 2 days to complete and a 3rd day is required for assessments. The mornings will be spent maintaining saws while the afternoons will be spent learning different crosscutting techniques.

9am - 5pm (approx)

Course Description:
This is a 3 day course that covers the felling and processing of trees upto 15 inches in diameter. This course prepares candidates for an assessment that covers the NPTC unit CS31.
Suitable for:
This course is for novice operators with little to no experience using a chainsaw. It is aimed at operators that are required to operate chainsaws for felling trees with a maximum diameter of 15 inches.
Pre-requisites:
Candidates for this course must already have a qualification in CS30
Duration:
This course will take 3 days to complete and a 4th day is required for assessments. All 3 days will be spent felling trees on site.

QCF002101 Level 3 (CS32) - Felling and Processing Trees over 380mm
Course Description:
This is a 3 day course that covers the felling and processing of tree greater than 380mm (15 inches) in diameter. This course prepares candidates for an asessment that covers the NPTC unit CS32.
Suitable For:
This course is suited for people that are intending or are required to fell trees in excess of 15 inches diameter
Pre-requisites:
CS30 and CS31
Duration:
This course will take 3 days to complete and a 4th day is required for assessments. All 3 days of the course will be spent onsite learning to fell larger trees.

QCF002013 Level 2 (CS38) - Tree Climbing and Aerial Rescue
Course Description:
This is a 5 day course that is designed to equip candidates with the skills required to climb and manoevre safely within a trees canopy and to be able to perform an aerial rescue. This prepares the candidates to take an assessment for City & Guilds NPTC CS38.
Suitable For:
This course is suitable for candidates that are required to access and work in trees using a rope and harness and possibly rescue an injured climber from the crown of a tree or a standing pole and are currently inexperienced in the climbing of trees.
Duration:
This course will take 5 days to complete and a 6th day is required for assessments. The 5 days of training will be split between theory and practical to cover all aspects of the subject.

Course Description:
This is a 3 day course that is designed to give the basic skills in the safe use of a chainsaw from a rope and harness within a tree. It combines the skills learnt in CS30, CS31 and CS38. This prepares the candidates to take an assessment for City & Guilds NPTC CS39.
Suitable For:
Candidates that are required to use a chainsaw within the crown of a tree.
Duration:
This course will take 3 days to complete and a 4th day is required for assessments.
